Lee Priest, real name Lee Andrew McCutcheon, is a competitive bodybuilder who was born 6 July 1972 in Newcastle, Australia. He is a former professional bodybuilder for the International Federation of BodyBuilders (IFBB), best known for winning the IFBB Ironman Pro in 2006. He is currently a professional athlete with the National Amateur Body-Builders’ Association (NABBA).
Lee is also a passionate car racer who began competing in road and circular track racing in 2002. Rookie of the Year in 2005 and the SCEDA Racing Championship in 2006 were among the many races and awards he won. He has a pet fox, named “Carlos“.

Early Life & Career
Lee Priest grew up in the Australian town of Wallsend. Priest’s mother competed in bodybuilding and posed alongside him on stage. With the guidance and encouragement of his grandfather, priest began his training at the age of twelve.
At the age of 13, he competed for the first time and won. He went on to win multiple further events before becoming IFBB Mr. Australia at the ages of 16, 17, 18, and 19. At the age of 17, Priest competed in the World Championships and finished fourth.
The Mr. Australia Title
Mr. Australia is a prestigious title in Australia. He competed again at 19 and won Mr. Australia, but due to his youth, he was unable to obtain his pro card in Australia. Priest then opted to compete in the Niagara Falls Championships, an amateur competition.
Priest was found and handed his pro card while he was there. At the age of 20, Priest became one of the IFBB’s youngest pro athletes. In 2010, he was invited to compete in the WBFF by Paul Dillett, but he declined owing to a lack of competition.
Champion Racer
Priest is also a champion race car driver and a racing aficionado. In 2002, he began racing on the road and on the circular track. In 2004, Priest moved on to drag racing. In both road and circle track, he won numerous races and titles. The most successful of his bids was in drag racing. In 2005, he was named Rookie of the Year. He won the SCEDA Racing Championship in Lancaster, California the next year, in 2006.
Lee Priest returned to competitive bodybuilding in 2013 after a seven-year hiatus to participate in the NABBA Mr Universe, where he won the overall amateur championship. While on tour in the United Kingdom, he participated as a special guest during the 2014 Universe Championships.
Priest began writing a monthly column for MuscleSport Magazine in November 2014, both online and in print. On the cover of their Winter 2015 issue, he was featured.
